reign in me

Over all the earth

You reign on high
Every mountain stream
Every sunset sky
But my one request
Lord my only aim
Is that You’d reign in me again

Lord reign in me
Reign in Your power
Over all my dreams
In my darkest hour
You are the Lord
Of all I am
So won’t You reign in me again

Over every thought
Over every word
May my life reflect
The beauty of my Lord
‘Cause you mean more to me
Than any earthly thing
So won’t You reign in me again
We sang this song in church today. It has been running through my head all day. This is what I am praying for the week ahead. That even in this darkest hour, the Lord would reign in me. That my life would be a reflection of our loving Savior.
Happy Sunday!

  • Angela - I’m so sorry for your loss. I will pray for you tonight that God will give you comfort and strength. I’m sure this pregnancy has been so different for you, and that’s totally understandable. You’re such a good mommy to Cora, and you’re already a good mommy to this baby. Thank you for being such a strong testimony for the Lord.ReplyCancel

  • Wendy - Praying for your family always.ReplyCancel

  • Traci - I have been following your journey since you found out that Cora was ill. I have been praying for your family. I have a son that is 2 months younger than Cora and could never imagine going through what you two have been through. I wanted you to know that I am in awe of your faith in the fact that God is good and working in you. I pray that my walk with God becomes as strong and close as yours. I will continue to pray for your family and peace through the difficult days.

  • Miss Em - It is so obvious to all of us that God reigns in you but I understand how you may not feel strong or brave or even faithfull at times. Everyday is a struggle. I continue to lift you and your family up. I was thinking of you this morning as I was getting my little one ready for the day. She just turned 10 months and I thought of you. First I thanked the Lord for my healthy baby and then I saw you with little ones running all around you, all your future babies. I have no idea why that came to my mind but it did and gave me a little peace. I know God will bless you with many more children and I know they will not replace Cora but they will bring you happiness. It has been such a short time since Cora passed and it feels like yesterday and forever at the same time. Cora lives in all our hearts now and will never be forgotten. I realize this has been a random comment but I wanted to write my thoughts. God bless you and Joel and baby Mac.ReplyCancel

  • katididit - Hello,

I have been reading your blog since January and am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for opening your hearts and sharing your story with the world. I walked in our local Relay for Life (an American Cancer Society fundraiser) in June and lit a luminaria for Cora. If you’d like to see it, you can go here:

My thoughts and prayers are with you both as you continue to cope with the loss of Cora and as you rejoice in the excitement of having her little sibling.ReplyCancel
