a few answers…

…to a few questions about the Cora shop

When will you post?

The goal is next week…before Thanksgiving.
I will keep you updated as it gets closer.
Any boy items this time?
We have a swaddle blanket and onesie that would work for a boy.
The burpies could be used for a boy.
Otherwise, everything is pretty girlie.
We are working on some new ideas for the boys.
Sorry boys.
Any dresses bigger than 5T?
No…at least not at this point.
Actually we don’t even have ANY dresses in sizes 2T-5T this time.
Bummer, I know.
We are having a horrible time finding NICE, plain shirts to use.
We can’t get the Cherokee shirts we were using any more.
Any ideas??
So, you don’t have ANY 2T-5T dresses??
No, but we do have skirts this time.
I know it is not the same.
But, they are super cute too…I promise.
A Christmas skirt might be just what your little girl needs.
What else will you be posting?
NB swaddle blanket and onesie sets
dresses 3 month-24 month
skirts 2T-5T
clipies
burpies
Any special/custom orders?
We just can’t keep up with that right now.
Sorry.
I wish we could make everyone exactly what they want.
I promise we would if we could.
But that is just not realistic right now.
Hopefully you will get to Cora’s in time
to find something Christmas-y for your little one!

  • 3girlsmom - O MY GOODNESS! I would love to buy 2 skirts, but everytime I go on Etsy (even soon after you post that stuff is online), I’m too late. What a WONDERFUL problem to have! Sweet Cora was (and still is) such an inspiration that I’d love for my girls to wear something with her name on it.

    Guess I’ll keep trying!ReplyCancel

  • Shauna - So excited! You do such a fantastic job! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • This is the day! - I am hoping to be quicker this time. I would love a swaddle blanket for our baby boy who is coming right before Christmas. Praying for you!ReplyCancel

  • angie c - hey Jess– check jiffyshirts.com for yourshirts/onesies. they have reasonable prices, reasonable and fast shipping, and a huge variety of brands. Hope that helps!ReplyCancel

  • Ali Rae - http://www.essentialwhites.com has onsies in lots of sizes up to 5T, which actually run a bit big until they are washed a few times. The quality of the fabric is excellent. Maybe that would work for a dress and a little one that doesn’t want to keep the dress down!ReplyCancel

  • Marla Taviano - This post made me smile. My youngest daughter will be busting out of 5T any day now, but I LOVE seeing what you’ve made and how fast people snatch it up. What a blessing!!ReplyCancel

  • Jenny - Hi Jessica, my name is Jenny, I came across Cora’s story right after she went to be with Jesus. I check in on you frequently and pray for you daily. Your words are uplifting and you courage is immense.
I am hoping to get a dress for my daughetr, Lucy, this time around, I’ve been trying since you and your Mom started selling them but your loyal followers beat me every time! I’ve purchased basic shirts/dresses/ etc from this site and it’s fantastic,
    http://www.basicbrilliance.com Just another option!
Thank you for the post about the water, I blogged about it too. What a fantastic charity. Continued love and prayers from a “friend” in Ohio.ReplyCancel

  • JJC - Jess,
I have also had a very difficult time finding plain long-sleeve shirts this year. I finally found some at Old Navy. They have 2 little buttons on each shoulder and come in several colors. So sad that there aren’t any 2T dresses this time..it’s just the size we need! Maybe next time. 🙂

  • Lovely Little Flowers - Hey, Jess – I would suggest you try Wal-Mart for “plain” shirts -GARANIMALS — they are the “bomb diggidy”!!! ;-)they have up to 5T shirts…
also, two weekends ago we were in Branson and was able to find some at Children’s Place….and they were on sale!!!ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - Target currently has plain white, black, pink, (and other colors i think) shirts in their kids section, they’re like 4$ each. I JUST bought a few the other day. hope you have luck finding them!ReplyCancel

  • Amanda - okay, so I would like to order a 3T dress, a 24 month Tripp tee, 5 burpies and 2 skirts, size 3T and 4T.

How in the world will I EVER in my whole entire life get anything from the Cora shop.

    You’re so famous.ReplyCancel

  • The Mershawn's - Girl, I think it’s just awesome that you and your mom are still doing this. You’re so creative & the stuff is so cute. The custom order thing….um, you’ve got a baby coming…no apologies needed!! Ha! Hope all is well on the baby front & we’re still praying for you guys. Can’t wait to see the super cute Christmas stuff. I just told the Lord, I deserve at least one thing…..we’ll see if he agrees;).ReplyCancel

  • timmonstimes - Hi! I didn’t have a chance to read all of the other comments but have you checked Walmart? They have a brand called Garanimals and they sell very inexpensive (yet good quality) solid colored shirts and turtlenecks that would work perfectly! Best wishes. We think and pray for your family daily.ReplyCancel

  • Deborah - I’ve ordered from cheapestees.com before. They have several different brands of shirts, onesies, etc. They’ve worked out nicely for us for craft projects.ReplyCancel

  • Cee - Is there anyway we could purchase some of your clothing patterns? I love to sew!ReplyCancel

  • Little Dude's Mama - I always default to Garanimals brand- from Wal-Mart for my applique designs- they are cheap, hold and wear fabulously. Happy crafting!ReplyCancel

  • Amber - Carter’s makes very good quality onesies…I don’t know how big they go up to though. 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - check out nosweat.comReplyCancel

  • Micah - Jess, I get my plain white long sleeved shirts for my shop from Old Navy. They are VERY nice! The boy ones are as well!ReplyCancel

  • Christina - I think it is amazing that you are making these things to sell! I’m always too late but I’ll keep trying as long as you continue to create such wonderful clothes for such a dear cause. I hope that it is a way for you to find comfort and peace as you keep moving forward. May you be blessed, Jess, each day.ReplyCancel

  • Christa Campbell - Have you tried American Apparel? http://store.americanapparel.net/ I know they are a bit pricey (retail), but if you buy wholesale it’s really reasonable.

    I love your stuff!ReplyCancel

  • Casey - I had to search high and low to find a plain white shirt to use for my daughter’s third birthday. I wanted to put a big 3 on the front of it for her and ended up finding a plain shirt at Old Navy. There were having a sale at the time 2 for $7, long sleeved white shirts. Her’s is a 18-24mos because she’s really petite but they had them in 2T as well. It was weeks before I found those though, everywhere else had big glitter stripes on the white shirts or bows or other stuff. Good luck.ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - Jess, Just wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you and praying for you guys tonight. I’ve had you on my mind all day and keep praying for you over and over. Sorry that this Holiday season isn’t any fun. I’m sorry that you are having to even do this blog or having to make Cora dresses for other people besides Cora! Wish I had some kind of words that were wise. Know that we pray for you two always. That sometimes even sounds so empty, but I know that God does answer prayer and that He can bring peace even when from the outside looking in, that seems impossible. You,so often, have been the one reminding of God’s amazing love for us. We love you guys! AndiReplyCancel

  • sewbusy - You could always use long sleeve shirts. With winter here they would be warmer. Maybe even use flannel for the skirt:) Then it would be nice and warm.ReplyCancel
