giveaway #1 {winner}

I randomly selected a winner using random.org
And the winner of Giveaway #1 is…

Kim Rahn!
Congratulations Kim.
I will be contacting you soon so that we can send you your Cora’s package.

Thank you so much to everyone
who gave so generously to the Johnsons.
I didn’t quite know what to expect.
I was overwhelmed with the response.
And I am so excited to be able to help Calla and her family in this way.

Don’t forget there will be another giveaway next week.
Probably Tuesday again.
Lots of pretty things to come!!

  • Christian Carroll Stewart - Hi! I’ve been reading your blog since Cora got sick and I’ve been praying for you guys so much the past year. So happy for you and precious Levi. I know he doesn’t come close to replacing Cora but I can tell that you are great parents and it’s so good to see you with full arms again.
I would like to know where you get the fabric for the Cora Dresses. I think they are adorable and I always try to order one but I’m always too late. I would like to try to make one though. I don’t sew but they seem simple enough to learn. Thanks!ReplyCancel

  • Janine - Oh I am so glad you are doing another raffle. I wanted to contribute to “Cora’s for Calla” and I missed it last week. I have been following your blog along with Megan’s and now theirs. You all seem like such wonderful people. I wish I really did know all of you. When I was younger we relied on the kindness of family, friends, and yes even strangers to get us through my dad’s tough and lengthy hospital stay. I would just like to pass on the kindness that was sent my way all those years ago.ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - A legacy.

Why is it that we have children?
We claim that they are gifts from God, and they are, but first we actually have to do something to allow the gifting to take place. We have an active roll in bringing children into our lives. Why do we do it?

I know for me, I had love to give (at least I thought I did), I hope my children will make the world a better place, I want them to make a difference, to be a light in the world, to bring glory to God, to have a legacy.

Cora, in her sweet short life accomplished all that I dream of for my children. That is really remarkable and she has a legacy. Here we watch Cora bring comfort to Calla and her family and we watch Cora continue to glorify God.

You are very gifted parents and I feel privileged to see your example and learn from it, I hope that you see it too.
