remembering easter {2011}

Remembering a new tradition of opening Resurrection Eggs each night leading up to Easter.
Your daddy and I loved telling you the story of Easter and how much Jesus loves you.

Remembering a quick photo with your cousins after church.

Remembering our first year to host Easter dinner.

Remembering how much I love decorating for a party. So fun.

Remembering friends and family that gathered around our table.

Remembering how we sang together and rejoiced that Christ is Risen!
Remembering our growing family and missing our sweet little girl.
Wondering what it is like for Cora to be celebrating Easter in heaven with Jesus–
I can only imagine how truly awesome it is!

Remembering that you had no idea that we were supposed to have an Easter egg hunt.
You were happy just playing with the empty plastic eggs.

Remembering you throwing your eggs in your basket.
You threw them over and over again.
Remembering the Easter hugs and kisses from a sweet little boy.

Remembering how special it was that my grandpa was out of the hospital and able to join us for dinner.

Remembering your cute red Easter shirt and what a blessed Easter it was.

  • Givinya De Elba - Jess, watch out, you might make me cry.

This Easter, I seem to have stumbled across a few blogs where atheist families have scoffed at the faith their dear children have learned from their schools (church schools they presumably enrolled the children in!), not to mention the sarcastic and hateful comments from atheists in response to news articles on our local Christian festival that was rained out this year coupled with so much misinformation … It’s all been really upsetting me.

To come here and see you and Joel teaching your beautiful boy about the truth of Jesus is a breath of fresh air. Thankyou so much.ReplyCancel

  • Amy G - Jess, you inspire me every day. Levi is such a handsome little guy, and I LOVE the picture of you guys with your baby belly! =) Thank you for sharing your faith continually. To continually praise God after the loss of Cora says so much about you.
