happy heart day

I tried really hard to get a smiley picture of me and my two little loves.
This was the best we could do.
one very tired mama
(with very sleepy eyes)
+
one two year old about to have a major Valentine meltdown
(he had just consumed a large amount of sugar and it was way past nap time)
+
one sweet four month old baby
(who is also the reason his mama is very tired)
We had fun celebrating Valentines Day around here though.
There were hearts everywhere and cousins running around everywhere too!
Heart cookies.
Heart decorations.
And lots of sprinkles.
I’ll tell you all about our cousin party soon…after I recover from the sugar overload and get a little more sleep (if a certain little boy will let me)!
Happy heart day!

Where it will very soon tick over into 16 February. I love how we will ALWAYS get things first here. But I don’t love the fact we don’t have Reece’s pieces 🙁

Your photos are just beautiful Jess. I will add in some prayers for sweet dreams for Griffin, and you.

  • The Moffats - Happy (late) Valentines Day! Can’t believe how fast Griffin is changing!! We did your little heart banner thing and the boys had fun – although most of our hearts were barely recognizable! 🙂 Love seeing your pretty face. Miss you lots.ReplyCancel

  • LauraD - Hope y’all had a wonderful and blessed Valentine’s day. I know those boys of yours got a few extra hugs and squeezes yesterday! Love to all.ReplyCancel

  • Anonymous - It’s a great picture of you and your boys!!!ReplyCancel

  • MICHELE - Jess, from one now ex-tired (who am I kidding I am still tired) momma to another have you heard of this site?
    http://www.babysleepsite.com/
I have HORRIBLE sleepers. Micah proved to me how much worse it could get. I tried all I knew and then found this site. She emails me weekly or every few days with tips and it changed my nights. I know Griffin is still young, but just thought I would share. I know how hard it can be taking care of a busy toddler and feeling like a zombie.

PS Love love love how cute your parties are I wish I could pull stuff off like that!!ReplyCancel

  • Cindy - Happy Heart Day to you too! Looking forward to reading about your cousin party…the last one was so precious!!ReplyCancel

  • Michelle - You have two very cute Valentine’s! Well worth any sleep deprivation. 😉

I’ve said this before, but your posts are like a breath of fresh air. 🙂 I can honestly say when I’m having “one of those days”, your blog is one of few things that will put a smile on my face. 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Paula Aspacher - look for hazelaid– online. for the baby– they are infant necklaces.. look for the one that will help him sleep or help with teething etc. my friends 7 month old has been wearing hers for about 1 1/2 month and it helps.. she doesn’t even drool anymore and she was such wet one… i have bought baltic-amber for a runner’s ankle and is helping, i have bought for my friend and daughter who have stomach problems. give it a try http://www.hazelaid.com
    you may get some sleep!ReplyCancel

  • Lexie Loo, Lily Boo, and Dylan Too! - Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you got some sleep!ReplyCancel

  • Cathy - I’ve followed your blog since it’s beginning – and had to comment today 🙂 What CUTE CUTE CUTE babies you have! I can completely relate to your tired eyes… my youngest three are 5, 3, and 2 – and my 2 year old RARELY sleeps through the night. I see the light at the end of the tunnel though – so that helps a little!ReplyCancel

  • Lyssa at Living Simple in the South - Jes! Love the banner! We made some at our house too, a little different, but equally as fun 🙂
I know where you are coming from with the tired and I had to share this with you!
I started laying ALly down awake and she started sleeping through the night and is taking consistent naps!
It has been SUCH A BLESSING in our home and I wanted to share it with you since Griffin is her age and encourage you to try it if you feel like is something that fits you guys!
I didnt try this with Weston utnil he was older and I was exhausted, but when Ally started waking up thirty minutes after I laid her down my mom reminded me of it and I thought she was too young, but it apparently was just what she needed!

    Hope this helps!

    Love,
    LyssReplyCancel

  • Merced - Hi, I love the cousin’s party you threw it was so cute! But what I really loved what the quilt hanging on the chair behind you in the picture of you and your boys. I was wondering do you have a bigger picture of that quilt, or even better a pattern for it? It is so fun and happy!
    Thanks!ReplyCancel
