thanksgiving 2012

This was the first Thanksgiving that we have had a house full of guests. I loved it. Most of our family lives nearby so we usually don’t have people staying with us over the holidays. But this year my friend Laura came with her boys to spend Thanksgiving with us. Her husband was supposed to come too but he got sick the day they were supposed to leave and ended up staying home. Such a bummer. 🙁 But Joel had to work most of the weekend anyway, so the little boys played and Laura kept me company. It was so fun. Here is a peek into some of the weekend happenings:

It was a weekend full of time with faraway friends, playdough, coloring, tractors everywhere, feeding the cows, little boys wrestling, a full and noisy house (so great!), baking, lots of eating, Thanksgiving day with my family, making “snow”, cousins, an airport party to welcome Katee home (so happy!), and lots of fun. I am so grateful.

Today we tried to get back into our normal routine. It was a struggle! I think we were all missing our Colorado friends.

So much to be thankful for!

  • ERin - Hi! I love reading your blog! I have a little boy and have been looking for gray shoes like your littlest one is wearing. Can I ask where you found them?

Erin-I got them a couple of years ago from Piperlime for Levi. I haven’t been able to find gray velcro ones anymore though. 🙁

  • Mary Ann - Looks like you had a marvelous time!! I love your pictures but the one of the 3 boys in their coats (and of course Levi in the monkey had sealed it for me!!) is the cutest. Little Griffin seems to want to be a big boy – he will be before you blink. I hope your December and holiday season is wonderful. I love this time of the year where the Savior is in the forefront to remind us of how much we have to be grateful for the rest of the year. You are an amazing woman Jess. Thanks for sharing little snippets of your life with us bloggers!!ReplyCancel
