thankful instagrams

I got to spend the weekend crafting with my friends. It was a great little break. I’m so thankful for these friends God has placed in my life…and thankful they share my love of crafting too! I only took this one picture on my phone. I love this room. Such a happy place to wake up to!

I always love coming home to my boys after being away. I miss them! We had a little family date last night to a local living Nativity.

It was a walk through drama…so neat. One scene was set up like what it might have been like in Bethlehem as Mary and Joseph arrived for the census. The picture above was the scene when Jesus was born. There were live animals and everything. The boys got to pet goats and donkeys and camels. I loved imagining what it might have been like as our Savior…the King…was humbly born. Such a great way to start out this Christmas season.

Before we jump right into Christmas I wanted to share my little thankful instagram project. My goal was to post something I was thankful for each day in November. I didn’t quite make it every day but it was definitely a good reminder of the many, many things I have to be thankful for.

I am thankful for…

sunny days to play outside + little boys playing dump trucks in their jammies + ice cream + my cute ice cream dates + the excitement that wearing mittens for the first time brings + my sweet new nephew

healthy boys + uneventful doctor visits + my baking assistent + clean babies + clean teeth + my shopping assistent

when it’s been a rough day we can anticipate His new mercies in the morning + time he gets to spend with his daddy + a baby boy who is trying hard to convince me he is a big boy + creating sparkly peppermint play dough

matching cups + sweet friends + a joyful giver + beautiful weather + picnics + tractor rides

surprise donuts waiting on the counter + visits from faraway friends + katee is home + joyful noises filling my house

a surprise box of treats from Australia + little helpers + pizza makers + silly moment

walks on the quiet country roads + that he wants to be just like his daddy + silly smiles + brothers

This doesn’t even scratch the surface of all that I have to be thankful for. We are so blessed. And even without this list, I am most thankful for the hope I have in Jesus. Now it’s time to celebrate our Savior’s birth! Something we should be celebrating everyday anyway, right?! Hello December.
