state fair

We love the state fair.

We mostly go to eat delicious fair food…but that has slowly been changing over the past few years now that our boys have an opinion on what we should do while we are there.

This is what Joel and I look forward to every year…gator tators. So good.

“Boys, let’s take a picture with our favorite fair food. Smile!”

Apparently there was something more important going on than taking a picture with our fried potatoes and cheese. Haha. This was the first year that the boys have really cared about or noticed the rides. Last year we still managed to just eat food and look at the tractors and animals. This year was a game changer.

“Just one smile for mama…pleeeease.”

Levi tried so hard to act excited about the gator tators. 🙂

Joel and I inhaled our food and then it was on to more important things like mowers and tractors.

They test drove every one I think.

We took a quick break…because the fair is hard work…and it was like 100 degrees outside.

Then it was finally back to the ride that Levi had been talking about since we left the gator tator stand.

They were so bummed when the trucks stopped. They wanted to ride over and over but we convinced them to move on.

We took turns going down the big slide (no pictures of that) and even convinced the boys to take a few food breaks. They were too busy looking for more rides to eat though.

Levi was trying to pose for me and Griffin was trying to copy his brothers pose. It wasn’t quite working for him. Silly boy.

Our last ride of the night was the flying elephants. The boys thought it was so great.

We walked through the animal buildings on our way out and that was that.

See you next year, Kansas state fair!

  • Mary Ann - What a fun time that must have been and such great memories. Your boys are so darling…getting big!! How did that happen?? LOL!! Kansas got the warm weather and Utah got rain, rain, rain the last few weeks. It has been very cool and fall-like but it is nice after a record hottest summer, hottest July, hottest everything this summer. So, it’s on to pumpkins, Halloween, apples, fall leaves, cool nights, and perfect temperature 72-degree days. In Utah, those temperatures lasts about 2 weeks!! Have a wonderful day.ReplyCancel
