cousin valentine party :: 2014

We hosted our annual cousin valentine party on Saturday. So crazy…but so fun! You can see our past valentine parties here, here and here. My how we’ve grown! This year there were thirteen cousins in attendance.

I know I go a little crazy decorating for these parties but it is my only chance to throw a pink, girly party. The crazy takes over in me and I just can’t stop sewing hearts together. And this way I get it out of my system and my boys don’t have to suffer through a pink birthday party. 🙂

We served breakfast and each kid had a stack of little donuts with a flag on their plate. Idea and free flag printable from here.

Remember the milk glass cake stand Minted  was sending me? It is just as gorgeous in person. We served waffles with strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. The cake plate was perfect for those little waffles.

Each chair had a crown from Minted’s party decor. They were super easy to put together and the kids thought they were great.

The only three girl cousins out of thirteen. I am so thankful for these sweeties. They get excited about my decorations and craft ideas and I just love that.

And here they all are. Four from my side of the family and seven from Joel’s side of the family. The oldest is in 2nd grade and the youngest is one. I’m trying to talk Joel into building me a party room. Next year there will be three more cousins and we are running out of space! He hasn’t gone for the idea yet. 😉

Strawberry milk for Valentine’s Day. Of course.

I set up a little craft table with bags for the cousins to decorate to hold their valentines in.

The boys and I gathered all the pink and red supplies we could find around the house. The cute heart stickers were from Minted too.

We also made this adorable little cork love bug. Idea from here.

These two thought my jar of washi tape was awesome. They were coming up with their own ideas and crafting their little hearts out.

Griffin gets a little overwhelmed with all the people at parties. Eventually he retreated to the couch but he wasn’t about to let go of his candy bag. He had a tight grip on that thing! He stayed here until everyone had left. 🙂

My two valentine cuties.

And one forced picture with their mama. I’m trying to decide how long I can keep those pretty heart garlands up. They might become a permanent fixture around here!
