whatever craft weekend

I spent this past weekend at the craft house as a helper for Whatever Craft Weekend. It was such a nice break from my normal routine. The best part is always spending time with Megan and Kimberlee. They are so fun and the best hosts! And this time I got to be a helper with the lovely Carissa. She is such an encourager and just as sweet as I imagined her to be. I wish she lived closer! And the group of women attending this month were so great too. There was lots of laughing, eating, crafting, sewing, staying up too late and antique shopping. I learned how to make yarn pom-poms too…a new obsession for sure. Oh, and there was a crazy snow storm on Saturday and Sunday morning. When I left the craft house it was covered in snow. It was beautiful but I have to admit that I was a little grouchy that it was snowing again. I’m so ready for warmer weather!

While it’s always refreshing to have a little time away…I sure missed these two! We took these pics right before I left on Friday. They had their backpacks packed and were so excited for the weekend. They got to visit their cousin Max and stay overnight at Bammy and Papa’s. And they had a boys night planned with their daddy too. I didn’t think they were going to miss me at all, but I think they were actually glad to see me again! 😉

  • Jill - Thinking of you today as you remember Cora on what would be her 6TH birthday. I’ve always felt a connection to you because my daughter, our 1st child, was born 3.2.2008 I began reading your blog just before Cora passed away, and since learning that her bday was so close to my daughter’s, I’ve remembered Cora’s by thinking of you during this week. I love reading your blog and love seeing your adorable boys. Wishing you the best:)
