ready to face the week.
Just a few things as we get ready to face the week that marks the day we had to say goodbye to our little girl. Not my favorite week for sure. But the Lord has given us just what we have needed to get through the past two heavenly anniversaries and I know He will be faithful to do the same as we approach three years without Cora. But instead of dwelling on that, how about a few random pictures of my two silly boys? I’m pretty sure they will be getting some extra squeezes around here this week.
This boy is pure sweetness. I just love the way he smiles at me. And that twinkle in his eye reminds me so much of his sissy. We have been spending a lot of quality time together in the middle of the night. He likes to wake up frequently and check on me. 🙂
Griffin got to try out the walker last week and he loves it. And all of a sudden his big brother started noticing him. Imagine that? Levi thinks the walker is awesome. Don’t worry, I know that it is not safe for Levi to be standing on it. Griffin is always closely supervised when cruisin’ in his walker.
Levi is needing a little extra supervision lately too. This boy is BUSY. I looked over from the couch where I was feeding Griffin and he had sat himself up at the computer and was very busy doing something with my keyboard and mouse. I asked him if he was supposed to be touching Mama’s computer and he said it was his fence for his dinosaurs and cows. Of course, my mistake.
And the next time I looked over he was calling his daddy on the “phone” asking him what he was doing on the farm. Oh my. Why is it so hard not to laugh when I should probably be disciplining for not obeying?
Last week the weather was amazing. It was so nice to be able to play outside and we have been going on walks as often as we can. The weather was beautiful again today so we hit the dirt roads and went on a walk this morning too. I am even starting to get back to running a little…maybe I need to schedule a race for the near future…a little motivation! Griffin looks like he hates going on walks, but he actually loves it. We were just about home and he didn’t like that I stopped the stroller. He prefers to be on the move.
This week we are going to do a few Valentines projects, play outside as much as we can, take some flowers to the cemetery as we remember our baby girl’s life, try not to all catch the flu (Joel thinks he is getting it today, yuck), and just do our best to embrace with joy whatever this week holds.
Hope you have a great week too!
