A few weeks ago I carried Griffin into his room to put him down for his nap and he announced, “Sleep bed. Me big!”. I wasn’t planning on moving him out of his crib quite yet but he was pretty adamant that he was a big boy so I decided to give the big boy bed a shot. He had been climbing out of his crib anyway so there wasn’t much to lose. He came out of his room once or twice (I can’t even remember!) and then a few minutes later I peeked in and he was asleep.
Another milestone that is making him seem like a big boy all of a sudden.
He always likes to take something (or a hundred things) with him to bed. This day it was cars. A few nights ago he insisted on sleeping with his cowboy boots. 🙂
So my baby is slowing becoming a big boy and we officially said goodbye to the crib…for a few months at least.
Happy Friday! Hope your weekend is restful.
molly - He is just so adorable. It is so bittersweet when you hit milestones like this with your kids! I haven’t commented on your blog in forever but I follow you on IG and I wanted to say CONGRATS on your pregnancy! We just welcomed our third child in January and it has been an adventure, for sure! But one I wouldn’t trade.
I hope you have a healthy happy pregnancy. I have loved watching your family over the years as I have two rowdy boys too 🙂
creole wisdom - What a sweetheart! Love him 🙂
Mary Ann - Griffin is so cute….he certainly is getting to be a big boy. What a darling set of pictures…I like how he’s all curled up and sleeping so sound. You new little one will be here before you know it and it’s back to needing a crib. Babies and children so very special. You have a darling family. I really appreciate all the things you share on your blog about your family AND about the Lord.
Anne - You are a godly example to me!
